When you come to visit the community at PGA West in La Quinta, California, you’ll know you’ve arrived in a number of ways. You might find yourself spending days at a time without leaving the property; however, when you do decide to explore the charming city of La Quinta, you’ll find plenty of shopping and dining options for both necessity and enjoyment. La Quinta’s Old Town shopping district features Spanish-styled, rustic architecture housing shops filled with boutique clothing and accessories, jewelers, antique retailers, florists and even service providers such as Old Town Optometry. Also in Old Town, you’ll find The Grill on Main, Hog’s Breath Inn and Stuft Pizza Bar & Grill, just to name a few. Though not in Old Town, another must-have reservation awaits PGA West residents at Arnold Palmer’s Restaurant on 52nd Avenue. And of course, your all American favorites such as Pizza Hut, Subway and IHOP are located right in La Quinta as well.
On days (and there will be many) when you can’t find a reason to leave PGA West, you can pass the time enjoying any number of the community’s amenities. The six golf courses by themselves provide hour upon hour of challenging and enjoyable golf. The community is home to the Jim McLean Golf School which offers instruction for beginning and advanced players. Tennis enthusiasts relocating to PGA West thrive on the option of grass, clay and hardcourt tennis all in once facility, and instruction is available from the community’s resident pro Alan Foster or former Davis Cup captain Tom Gorman. Want to be active, but not into tennis or golf? Yoga, Pilates, strength raining, cardio and Jazzercise classes, among others, are also organized by PGA West. And speaking of organizing, plan your next special event through the catering department and you’ll have your pick of any of the three exclusive clubhouses, gourmet dining options and coordination of your event by a trained helpful staff who are eager to make your meeting, party, reception or other event the very best in memory.
When you come to browse real estate listings in PGA West, you won’t be able to help but notice the natural beauty and richness of the city of La Quinta. Area parks and preserves offer playgrounds, sports facilities, hiking and biking trails and chances for education and observation of native wildlife.
