Home Sales are UP, UP and UP !
The summer months here in the Palm Springs area are normally the slowest months of the year for selling and buying Real Estate.
But, that’s not the case any more !
Because of historic low mortgage rates, incredible tax credits and big discounts on homes we were able to close the month of May with record breaking numbers in Home Sales here in the desert. With inventory now on a 2 year low, properties that are priced well sell within days.
New home sales is up !
Homebuilders across the desert are seeing new home sales going up as the three-year-long housing downturn is ending.“Total units in the Coachella Valley that have been sold to date stand at 256. Sun City is selling almost 23 homes a month on average for a total of 91 sold homes.”The report shows projected sales rates of the other home- builders through April at nine sales a month for Trilogy; six a month for Mountain View Country Club; and nearly five a month for Toscana, where home sales prices average $1.2 million;
I am expecting that we will see a summer , that we have never seen before. First time home buyer, second time home buyers and investors are coming out in force to snap up the remaining bargains here in the desert.
