The Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert presents hands-on experiments, fascinating exhibits and interactive creative arts projects within a fun and educational environment. The CDMOD was established to enhance the educational experiences of children through motivation and the participation in meaningful activities. The hands-on exhibits promote imaginative and creative thinking and curiosity. Here is a sampling of the exhibits: how things work, a physical work-out on a rope maze and rock climb, scientific exploration of a strobe fan and human skeleton; hidden treasures including a see-through brick. There is a host of interactive exhibits and hands-on projects and experiences coupling education with fun for all ages. Children are encouraged to learn more about themselves and the world they live in at The Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert. Since its 1998 opening, the Museum has welcomed over 600,000 visitors that have participated in innovative programs, comprehensive instruction and relevant projects.
